Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide children and families with viable alternatives to institutional living through use of community based services. These services act to support and assist parents in this role and to enable family members to reside together in the community.
Our Focus is on finding community based solution for troubled children and their families.
Parenthesis Family Advocates was established in 1983 to provide community-based alternatives to institutional living, thus allowing biological, foster, and adoptive families to reside together with the youth in their care. We provide quality therapeutic foster homes for children in need of out-of-home care. Our Adoption Department provides support services (counseling/support groups) for adoptive parents and their children. Parenthesis has offices located in Columbus, Galion, and Cleveland, Ohio. We current service more than 100 daily in our Treatment Foster Care Program.
